You need to have the "Bipod" attachment unlocked for the LMG you're using and make sure you have a flat surface to mount it on (ground, solid floor, or ledge). Once you aim down your sights, the bipod will automatically deploy.



You have to make sure you are 'absolutely' still, or the bipod 'will not' deploy. If you have a worn analog sticks like mine, it'll be very difficult to get the bipod to deploy every time because your character is sliding or making very tiny movements.
Doesn't matter what system, just make sure you have a bipod attached and enter aim-mode while either close to a mount-able surface (i.e. low walls) or prone. Once the bipod is attached you can exit aim-mode for a better look around while still having it remain mounted.How do you mount lmgs on battlefield 3,beta for xbox?
